1. Why is MyDeal moving to BIG W?
Woolworths Group Limited, which owns BIG W and the majority of MyDeal.com.au Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries (including E-Com (Aus) Pty Ltd), is acquiring the remaining share of MyDeal.com.au Pty Ltd. As a result, the MyDeal website will be closing and will now become part of BIG W’s online offering.
2. When will the MyDeal website close?
The MyDeal website will close on 30 September 2025. After this date, you’ll be able to shop directly with BIG W online.
3. Where can I shop for similar products after MyDeal closes?
Many of the deals and products you love will be available on BIG W and Everyday Market (on woolworths.com.au). MyDeal's technology and seller relationships will be used to enhance these platforms.
4. What will happen to my MyDeal account?
You will no longer have access to your MyDeal account after September 30th, but you will still be able to request support using your previous order number and email. This will still allow you to reach out to the customer support team about these orders.
Your information in your MyDeal account, which may include contact details and subscription preferences, will be securely transferred to BIGW (unless you choose to opt out); however, your account, including your login details and account history, will not be transferred. This ensures you can continue receiving offers, updates, and access to a wide range of products from BIGW.
5. Will I be able to login to BIG W using my MyDeal account credentials?
No. You will need to create a new account on BIG W. Only certain information, such as your contact details and subscription preferences, will be transferred to allow you to continue receiving offers, updates, and access to a wide range of products via email and SMS from BIGW (unless you choose to opt out).
6. What information is being transferred?
Your contact information (including name and email), subscription preferences and customer profile will be transferred. Your previous orders or account history will not be transferred. Your privacy is important, and all information will be handled in line with the Woolworths Group Privacy Policy. The BIG W information Collection Notice explains how this information is handled.
7. Can I choose not to transfer my information to BIG W?
Yes. If you don’t want your information transferred for marketing communications, you can opt out before 25th October 2025 by clicking the “Opt out of future communications” link in the email.
8. What happens if I don’t opt out?
If you stay subscribed, your details will be transferred to BIG W, and you’ll continue to receive offers and updates from BIG W. You’ll also be able to update your preferences or unsubscribe from BIG W communications directly from any BIG W email or SMS that you receive in the future.
9. Will my past MyDeal orders still be supported?
Yes. All existing orders placed on MyDeal will continue to be processed and supported. The MyDeal Customer Service team will still assist with any queries regarding past purchases.
10. Do I need to do anything right now?
No action is needed unless you want to opt out of future communications. Simply click the opt-out link before 25th October 2025 if you don’t wish for your information to be transferred.
11. I opted out, but I’m now receiving BIG W emails?
If you are receiving BIG W emails after opting out, it may be because your request was made after the 25th October 2025 deadline. In this case, you can simply click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any BIG W email, and you will no longer receive marketing communications from us. Or you might have 2 different emails registered with us, i-e., one for work and one personal one.
